Land Acknowledgement

I work and learn on the lands of Etobicoke, part of the traditional and treaty territories of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, and Haudenosaunee peoples, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. My relationship with this land is rooted in gratitude and responsibility. I commit to acknowledging its Indigenous stewards, respecting its waters, and protecting its life by keeping it clean and safe. Through these actions, I hope to walk gently on this earth, learning from the wisdom of those who have cared for it since time immemorial. May we listen to the wisdom of Indigenous stewards who remind us that land is not a resource, but a relative.
